1 Corinthians 10:12 (NLT) If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.
A friend was talking about this verse today and I immediately thought of sharing it on this blog. Pride has always been a culprit in separating us from God’s will. It was so in the beginning when Lucifer, the beautiful angel who walked with God “among the fiery stones,” got puffed up and thought he could overthrown God (bad move!) and it is so today. May we recognize our own human frailty–that we are certainly not above falling on our faces at anytime without our hands firmly wrapped up in the hands of the One who is “mighty to save” us. Let us humble ourselves enough to understand that we are weak, so that we will open the door to allowing God to show Himself strong and extraordinary through us. Lord, I can only stand in this evil day if You are the one living through me. It is your purity and power that covers me. Help me to never get to the place where I am too proud to see that I am headed straight for the edge of the cliff.
